Our history
A family legacy in action.
Wright Legacy Foundation was established June 1, 2017 by brothers Dorell Wright and Delon Wright, alongside the foundation's President, Mia Wright (wife of Dorell Wright).
Mr. and Mrs. Wright organized Wright Legacy Foundation as a continuation of their philanthropic efforts from former non-profit, the D Wright Way Foundation, which was in operation from 2010–2014 during Dorell Wright's professional NBA career.
In 2014, when Dorell's brother Delon Wright was drafted first round, twentieth pick to the Toronto Raptors, the couple along with Delon decided to create a non-profit foundation that would represent the entire family's commitment to fostering college education opportunity to inner-city youth and the overall support and enrichment of underserved communities — alike to the very communities that raised the family.

Where we're headed.
To promote the development of young people residing in California through mentorship and high level coaching, competitive and mentoring experiences with outcomes based on high-level college placement percentages with colleges and universities throughout the country.
The Wright Legacy Foundation will provide on-site classroom training, and postsecondary educational advancement by providing financial assistance and high-level preparatory sports and academic training.
